- 02No, if you’re happy with your current coverage and your plan is still available, your coverage will automatically renew. 
- 03- You can switch from original Medicare to a Medicare Advantage Plan. 
- You can switch from one Medicare Advantage Plan to another. 
- You can switch from one Medicare Prescription Plan to another. 
 
- 04No, you do not. If you have reviewed your Annual Notice of Change and are satisfied with your plan, do nothing and your plan will automatically renew. 
- 05Not necessarily. With Medicare supplement plans (typically F, G, or N plans) you can shop those plans anytime during the year (subject to medical underwriting). The AEP is not ideal because this process will take much longer during the AEP than during the first nine months of the year. 
- 06No problem! You now have an additional three months to shop your plan in the beginning of the year called the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period. This period runs from January 1st through March 31st. Any changes made during this time become effective on the first day of the following month. For example, if you change plans on February 12th, your new plan will take effect on March 1st.
